This is the first V42 Kyle and Melynda have made together. The V42 dagger originally produced by Case for American Special Forces during WWII is one of the most iconic daggers ever. This is Kyle’s take on that knife which happens to be his favorite historical dagger. He made this one from 1084. The bevels are flat ground. The skull crusher pommel is made from a 1.25 inch square of 4140 that was hand shaped. The tang is threaded to accept the pommel and the handle is stacked leather made with the help of Melynda. The blade is bead blasted then coated in black oxide finish. The sheath was made by Melynda to resemble the original V42 sheath.
Kyle and Melynda Lamb of Viking Tactics have donated this V42 to raise funds for the Stay in the Fight Foundation.
