A Plain Narrative of the Uncommon Sufferings and Remarkable Deliverance of Thomas Brown of Charlestown, in New England by Thomas Brown

I had to read this narrative about one of Robert Rogers’ Rangers who was captured at the Battle of Snowshoes. It is a very short book but written by the boy who was captured. I believe he was 16 years old. It is not a spectacular book but if you look through his eyes as he watches his fellow prisoners tortured and killed it might make you aware of what true war is really like. Not pretty, not sexy, but I believe his story is true.
